Doctor Nerve limited edition DVDs
SOLD OUT
We're planning on a pretty cool DVD in the future with other footage that has since turned up!
We recently discovered these DVD's that we'd made as Kickstarter rewards to raise money to play the Zappanale Festival back in 2011. We are offering them here because people on our socials expressed a lot of enthusiasm for them (thanks!). These are really more for fans and freaks, as we would not call them 'pro quality'. So please understand what you're getting. These are not pro, but they are historically significant and the band's playing is great, so you might dig it. We have 13 of each, and once these are gone, that's it! Order here.

  • The 1991 DVD is our full set. It was shot on one camera and dubbed from a first generation VHS. Therefore, we are calling this souvenir/collector quality, not professional quality. The image is a bit grainy as VHS typically is, but the band is ripping, and it's at the old Knit when it was still on Houston Street, which is cool. For the full set list and personnel, see below left.

  • The 1992 DVD is a three camera shoot, professionally edited by Wendy Roberts. The image quality is higher. The program length is shorter (see below, right). Again we are calling this souvenir/collector quality because there is one extra generation of transfer between the original master and this DVD. Also, the three cameras were not color corrected in post production so some shots are brighter than others (this matters to some folks, we get it!). But again, the band rips so we think fans will dig it. For the tunes included in the program and personnel, see below right.

SOLD OUT! We're planning on producing a DVD of cool past performances in the future.
Did we mention that these were rewards for fans who supported our Kickstarter and that they are not pro releases? This is true, but of course we wouldn't have offered them as rewards if we didn't think our supporters would have enjoyed them! So artistically, historically, and as unique artifacts of our bottomlessly non-commercial yet limitlessly creative scene, we do stand behind these! They are cool.
